OUR IMPACT TO DATE

Health Services
MHOP's Health Services programs have:

• Taught 4000+ residents basic health information through health education programs.
• Provided free care for 400 children in exchange for their parent's participation in community actions. 
• Built and staffed a community clinic to serve 60,000 people.
• Conducted public health campaigns, such as  mosquito net distribution and re-treatment events and well-water sanitization programs, for over 2000 people.

Capacity Building
Our microfinance and women's education programs have:

• Distributed 120+ microfinance loans to women in need.
• Taught 120+ women and teenage girls functional literacy and skills such as cloth dying and soap making.

Community Governance
MHOP has promoted community governance through a variety of programs. We have :

• Hosted an educational radio program reaching 60,000 listeners, featuring discussions about the challenges facing slum residents and offering potential solutions.
• Established the 12-member Community Health Action Group and built the capacity of  two clinic associations overseeing the health of 120,000 slum residents.
• Increased community volunteer activity though community events, such as trash-clean up days, involving 100 community volunteers.
