D., M.P.H.<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pat est une experte multidisciplinaire en technologie de laboratoire m\u00e9dical, en sciences de la vie (biologie mol\u00e9culaire, g\u00e9nomique, immunologie) et en \u00e9pid\u00e9miologie. Titulaire d\u2019un doctorat en biochimie et d\u2019une ma\u00eetrise en sant\u00e9 publique en \u00e9pid\u00e9miologie, elle a dirig\u00e9 des projets de syst\u00e8mes de d\u00e9tection et de biosurveillance des maladies infectieuses dans 40+ pays, principalement en Asie et en Afrique. Sa vaste exp\u00e9rience comprend la direction d\u2019\u00e9quipes visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la gestion de la qualit\u00e9 des laboratoires de diagnostique, la surveillance des maladies infectieuses, les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019information de laboratoire et l\u2019utilisation des donn\u00e9es pour am\u00e9liorer les programmes de sant\u00e9 publique (COVID-19, VIH) et les initiatives de r\u00e9sistance aux antimicrobiens (One Health). Pat a collabor\u00e9 \u00e9troitement avec des gouvernements et divers secteurs sur des projets de sant\u00e9 publique, obtenant des financements de plusieurs donateurs (CDC, USAID, etc.). Son travail consiste \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer et \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter des donn\u00e9es pour orienter les strat\u00e9gies de programme et \u00e0 diffuser les r\u00e9sultats par le biais de publications. Pat a pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment occup\u00e9 un poste de professeure adjointe clinique \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Washington et r\u00e9side actuellement \u00e0 Sammamish, dans l\u2019\u00c9tat de Washington, avec sa famille. Originaire du Cameroun, Pat parle couramment l\u2019anglais et le fran\u00e7ais.      <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Nicole Warren, Ph. D., M.P.H., CNM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nicole est professeure agr\u00e9g\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole d\u2019infirmi\u00e8res de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Johns Hopkins et infirmi\u00e8re sage-femme certifi\u00e9e fournissant des soins gyn\u00e9cologiques pr\u00e9natals et <br \/>\u00ab\u00a0femmes saines\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital Johns Hopkins. Depuis qu\u2019elle a servi en tant que volontaire du Corps de la Paix au Mali, elle a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 collaborer \u00e0 des programmes et \u00e0 des recherches au Mali et dans d\u2019autres contextes \u00e0 faibles ressources. Son expertise clinique porte sur les soins infirmiers et obst\u00e9tricaux des femmes en \u00e2ge de procr\u00e9er et ses recherches sont ax\u00e9es sur le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des prestataires de sant\u00e9 maternelle de premi\u00e8re ligne dans tous les milieux, l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins cliniques des femmes touch\u00e9es par l\u2019excision et les soins maternels respectueux.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Neelum Jeste, M.D., M.P.H.<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neelum est une h\u00e9matologue-oncologue p\u00e9diatrique qui travaille actuellement dans la recherche et le d\u00e9veloppement de m\u00e9dicaments dans l\u2019industrie pharmaceutique. Elle a termin\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes de premier cycle en psychologie et en espagnol \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Duke et sa facult\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Californie \u00e0 San Diego. Au cours de sa formation m\u00e9dicale,   <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">elle a travaill\u00e9 dans des cliniques en Inde et en Am\u00e9rique du Sud et a men\u00e9 une \u00e9tude de recherche en R\u00e9publique dominicaine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Margot Fahnestock, d\u00e9put\u00e9e provinciale<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Margot Fahnestock est une experte en philanthropie et en politique dans le domaine de la planification familiale et de la sant\u00e9 reproductive. Margot a \u00e9t\u00e9 agente de programme \u00e0 la Fondation William et Flora Hewlett, charg\u00e9e d\u2019accorder des subventions pour r\u00e9duire les grossesses non d\u00e9sir\u00e9es et am\u00e9liorer la sant\u00e9 et les droits reproductifs en Afrique subsaharienne. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre fondatrice et catalyseur du Partenariat de Ouagadougou, qui a mobilis\u00e9 plus de 400 millions de dollars en financement suppl\u00e9mentaire pour la planification familiale en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest francophone. Elle a servi deux ans en tant que volontaire du Corps de la paix des \u00c9tats-Unis pour enseigner l\u2019anglais dans une \u00e9cole secondaire au Mali. He served as Mali Health's Executive Director from 2012-2015 and currently works with Accenture Development Partnerships, providing business and technology consulting services to international development organizations, foundations, and corporate clients to deliver social impact.<\/p><h4>Joseph Camardo, MD<\/h4><p>Dr. Camardo is an internist who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as head of Clinical Research and Medical Affairs at Wyeth, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Celgene. He is a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and he serves on nonprofit boards in health, education, and music.<\/p><h4>Maureen Caulfield, MD<\/h4><p>Dr. Caulfield holds a Master in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. Trained as a pediatric gastroenterologist, she has worked at AstraZeneca and most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Global Safety Surveillance and Epidemiology at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.<\/p><h4>Bruce Close, MSJ<\/h4><p>Mr. Close holds a Master of Science in Jurisprudence from Seton Hall Law School and undergraduate degrees from Rutgers University. He is currently serving as Senior Director of Compliance at Celgene. Mr. Close has nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working toward the treatment and cure of unmet medical needs across various therapeutic areas.<\/p><h4>Nathan Duckles<\/h4><p>Mr. Duckles studied Political Science and Engineering at Brown University. He currently works in finance, developing strategies for a quantitative trading firm in New York.<\/p><h4>Jason Lee, MBA<\/h4><p>Mr. Lee currently works on the Enterprise Strategy and Planning team at Change Healthcare, a healthcare technology and services company that was formerly known as McKesson Technology Solutions. Prior to Change Healthcare \/ McKesson, he spent several years developing strategic plans and evaluation systems in the global health and international development sectors while working at FSG, IDEO.org, and World Relief. His former clients include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the MasterCard Foundation, Oxfam America, and Medtronic. Mr. Lee holds an MBA from UC Berkeley \u2013 Haas School of Business and a BA from Harvard University.<\/p><h4>George Lehner, JD<\/h4><p>Mr. Lehner is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP in Washington D.C. He has previously worked in the Department of State in the Office of the Legal Adviser. He is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Fund for Peace. He also serves as general counsel for the International Women\u2019s Media Foundation and the White House Correspondents\u2019 Association. Mr. Lehner is a graduate of Wesleyan University and received his J.D. from the University of Michigan.<\/p><h4>Gregory Mann, PhD<\/h4><p>Dr. Mann is a professor of African history at Columbia University. He has been conducting research in West Africa, primarily in Mali, since 1996. His most recent book is From Empires to NGOs in the West African Sahel: the Road to Nongovernmentality (Cambridge, 2015). Drawing on research conducted primarily in Mali, the book analyzes the rise of novel forms of political rationality among governments and non-governmental organizations in the Sahel from 1946 to the late 1970s.<\/p><h4>Mamadou Niang<\/h4><p>Mr. Niang is a co-founder and advisory board member of Tambaroua Business Farming. He is an accomplished management professional with over 12 years of experience in the healthcare and medical technologies field. Mr. Niang served in leadership roles in engineering, service operations, and supply chain management functions at General Electric Healthcare Systems. He is currently a healthcare consultant leading and managing multi-million dollar healthcare IT projects and initiatives. Mr. Niang holds an MS in Computer Technology with a focus on information systems from Purdue University.<\/p><h4>Lisa Nichols, MPH<\/h4><p>Ms. Nichols is a public health professional who has worked in Mali primarily on maternal and child health program implementation for over 15 years \u2013 first in the 1980\u2019s with an international NGO and again from 2003-2013 as manager of a bilateral USAID national health program. She has worked in other countries, primarily in Francophone Africa and in Asia on monitoring and evaluation, nutrition, infectious disease and emergency relief programming. She currently lives in the Washington, DC area and works for Abt Associates, International Health Division as a Principal Associate\/Portfolio Manager providing support to multiple country programs, malaria research and the Health Finance and Governance project. She holds an MPH in International Health from The George Washington University.<\/p><h4>Christine Sow, PhD<\/h4><p>Dr. Sow was most recently Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PSI, where she was responsible for overseeing operations in the field, including responsibility for field research, marketing and security. Dr. Sow was previously the President and Executive Director of the Global Health Council, the leading membership organization supporting and connecting advocates, implementers and stakeholders around global health priorities worldwide. With more than 20 years of global health leadership experience, she has led numerous initiatives to strengthen health systems and increase access to life-saving drugs and services. Dr. Sow has worked for nonprofit, academic, bilateral and multilateral agencies and spent more than 15 years in West Africa with organizations including UNICEF and USAID. She is also actively engaged in numerous global and national policy and partnership forums including the World Bank\u2019s Civil Society Consultative Group for Health, Nutrition and Population and the Global Work Group of the Advisory Committee to the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She holds a PhD in epidemiology from Tulane University and two Masters Degrees from the University of Michigan.<\/p><h4>Joel Wierenga, PhD<\/h4><p>Mr. Wierenga worked as an entomologist in agricultural research and development, then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry. He works for Pfizer as the Clinical Medical Project Management Group Lead in Pfizer's Essential Health business. He also serves on the Board of Agape Unlimited, a nonprofit focused on medical missions in outlying, underserved regions of Russia. Dr. Wierenga retired from the Army National Guard at the rank of Colonel, and holds advanced degrees from Purdue University, Michigan State University and the US Army War College. He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.<\/p><h3>Mali Advisory Board<\/h3><h4>Ben Aboubacar, MD<\/h4><p>Dr. Ben Aboubacar is the Director of Health Programs for the Millennium Development Goals Center for West and Central Africa. He coordinates Millennium Villages\u2019 Community Health Worker programs in countries such as Senegal, Ghana, and Mali, and his advice is sought by local and national health authorities as well as by international organizations such as the United Nations and UNICEF.<\/p><h4>Sidiki Coulibaly<\/h4><p>A member of the local mayor\u2019s office, Mr. Sidiki Coulibaly is one of Mali Health\u2019s chief advisers. He has hosted Mali Health Coordinators in his home in the past, and was one of our first community supporters.<\/p><h4>Yaye Danfakha, MD<\/h4><p>Dr. Yaye Danfakha is currently working with a UNICEF-partner program to evaluate the effectiveness of an in-home health care program for childhood respiratory infections.<\/p><h4>Abdoul Diallo<\/h4><p>Mr. Abdoul Diallo is the former head of the West African Water Initiative for USAID. He has also taught at the School for International Training in Mali. Mr. Diallo splits his time between Mali and the United States.<\/p><h4>Alpha Zancoura Doumbia<\/h4><p>The adjunct for health at the Mayor\u2019s Office of Commune 1 (Bamako), Mr. Doumbia is an invaluable liaison between Mali Health and the local government.<\/p><h4>Mamadou Niare<\/h4><p>As the Sikoro Village Chief, Mr. Mamadou Niare supervises activities in both Sikoro and Sourakabougou. He is also a member of the Bamako committee of traditional chiefs.<\/p><h4>Saloum Soumar\u00e9<\/h4><p>Mr. Saloum Soumare has worked with the USAID Program in Shared Governance (PGP) in Bamako for years, and is an expert in creating community\/government accountability in Bamako. He has also worked with the Peace Corps as a language teacher.<\/p><h4>Mary Magdalene Togo, MD<\/h4><p>Dr. Mary Togo is a member of our Board and the Technical Consultant to the Minister of Health. Dr. Togo was the first female chief of medicine of Mali\u2019s premier national hospital (H\u00f4pital Gabriel Tour\u00e9) and is a figurehead of Malian health care policy.
